Shooting heads are getting increasingly popular so the design team at Mackenzie Fly Fishing have now developed the new range of NX Shooting heads with and without running line attached. Drawing on many years of knowledge from World leaders in Spey Casting and applying the most up to date manufacturing processes we have now produced, what we believe is, the best high-performance fly lines for the modern-day salmon angler. Our new NX Shooting heads have many exceptional qualities including our signature combination of durable but supple coating, this further enhances stability, presentation and turnover at all ranges. Each line has been designed to further enhance the performance of all modern-day double-handed rods, we have designed each of the different models length to match properly each rod size and line weight, so you have a line that is balanced for you and your rod, The new NX Shooting heads are a must for all modern-day fishermen.

The NX Shooting heads are available in 38g #8/9, 42g #9/10 and 44g #10/11 and are also available with integrated running lines,

Unique tapering system, allowing perfect presentation and turn over

Specially formulated supple coating, creates tighter loops for perfect stability and performance

Welded loop at both ends for easy loop to loop attachment to running line at the back, and poly leaders/ tippet at the front

38g 8/9 NX Shooting head

This floating line will allow casting in the close off conditions when a back cast is difficult, this line will suit all 8 or 8/9 weight doubled handed rods and all Mackenzie #8 weight rods, this line is ideal for medium-sized rivers or low water conditions in bigger rivers, as with all Mackenzie shooting heads this line will turn over most flies and poly leaders perfectly

42g 9/10 Shooting head

This floating line is ideal for fishing most medium to larger sized rivers, it will suit all 9 and 9/10 weight rods, and all Mackenzie #9 weight rods, as with all Mackenzie shooting heads it will turn over most flies and poly leaders perfectly

44g 10/11 Shooting head

This floating line is ideal for all medium to larger sized rivers, it will suit all 10 and 10/11 weight rods, and all Mackenzie #10 weight rods, as with all Mackenzie shooting heads it will turn over most flies and poly leaders perfectly
