Previously, when used with a no-sinker rig, the Shad Tail Worm would have a lively action when simply reeled in, but would sink without any action once the retrieve was stopped…
In other words, the weak point was that the moment the retrieve was stopped, it lost its ability to attract bass. But the Do-Live Shad is different!
It has acquired a new action that allows it to swim of its own accord even when free falling, turning this weak point into a bite opportunity.
The way it falls, twisting its body and flapping its tail, is just like a baitfish heading to the bottom of its own volition!
This means that when you land it near the cover, you can retrieve it after aiming for a fall bite, and use the fall action to lure bass that chase you but don’t bite.
It now makes it possible to get bass to bite on the fall, which was not possible with just reeling.
