All E.T. Bait rods have a firm action that is a balance between casting baits, setting hooks and playing fish.
These rods work well with nylon mainlines, but have been developed with braided mainlines in mind, the setting of the hooks is far easier with the non-stretch braided lines, but of course, the casting of dead baits and the playing of fish needs some forgiveness blended into the action to avoid casting off of baits and maintaining a good hook hold while playing a fish.

The E.T rods took inspiration from The original Century NG 12ft 3.5lb and the Free Spirit S Range XS rods as they are considered by many as outstanding all round pike rods, these rods have a high-test curve without the harshness as they possess a progressive action. The action of the E.T Bait rods have been designed on the basis of these rods using a robust carbon material for durability.

• Guide sizes (mm): 7 Guides 40, 30, 20, 25, 16, 12 & 12mm Anti Frap tip guide.
• The guides are braid friendly guides from Sea Guide and are fitted with robust aluminium oxide ceramic liners, these have proven over the years to be more resistant to cracking or falling out when mistreated.
• Handle length from butt cap to bottom of reel seat: 12ft 485mm 11ft 445mm 10ft 430mm.
• Fold Friendly ringing for safer transportation.
• Supplied in a cloth bag.
