Castaway Rods – Crankin’ Series – CC-76MH – Medium Heavy Casting

The CC-76MH is the big-water, long-range model in CastAway’s Crankin’ Series a 7’6″ med-heavy casting rod built specifically for anglers who run crankbaits, chatterbaits, and rattletraps on a regular basis. The extra length puts more distance behind every cast and keeps the bait running deeper in the strike zone longer, while the mod-fast action loads into the blank to absorb the head shakes that pull treble hooks on traditional fast-action rods. At 3/81 oz lure weight and 1220 lb line, it covers everything from a half-ounce squarebill to a deep-diving 1 oz plug.

The blank is CastAway’s Proprietary S-Glass construction a carbon-fiberglass blend engineered for the specific flex profile cranking demands. It’s noticeably lighter and more sensitive than traditional glass rods while still retaining the tip softness that keeps fish pinned. The Graphite Composite Sensa-Touch Reel Seat features three direct contact points to the blank for maximum vibration transmission to your hand, and the semi-micro guide train reduces overall rod weight while extending casting distance. Sea Guide SS316 tangle-free guides with SiC inserts and a Grade A cork split grip round out the build.
