The Terrova QUEST is the flagship of the Terrova platform a ground-up redesign with a brushless dual 24V/36V motor that delivers up to 50% more torque and 30% longer runtime than standard brushed Terrovas. Reinforced brackets, beefier pivot points, a carbon-fiber composite shaft, and a built-in heading sensor (no external sensor needed) make this the most capable Terrova ever built.

Every Terrova QUEST ships with the Advanced GPS Navigation Wireless Remote (full-size, LCD screen) AND a Corded Foot Pedal in the box dual control out of the gate. All 6 SKUs include built-in sonar: choose Dual Spectrum CHIRP or MEGA Down/Side Imaging.

Important: The QUEST foot pedal is SKU 1866078 it is QUEST-specific and NOT the same pedal as standard Terrova (1866077) or PowerDrive (1866070). All pedals are corded (wired, 18′ cable). Minn Kota does not make a wireless foot pedal for any current trolling motor.

If you fish hard and fish often, QUEST is the motor. The brushless dual-voltage design means you get more power when you need it (36V) and more efficiency when you don’t (24V) without rewiring anything. QUEST vs. Standard Terrova: QUEST is brushless (standard is brushed). QUEST is dual 24V/36V (standard is fixed voltage). QUEST has a built-in heading sensor (standard uses an external sensor). QUEST has Eco Mode (standard does not). QUEST uses the MKP-40 prop and QUEST-specific foot pedal (SKU 1866078). If you’re upgrading from a standard Terrova, the mounting holes are the same direct swap.

DSC vs. MEGA Down/Side Imaging: DSC provides reliable CHIRP sonar. MEGA Down/Side Imaging adds Humminbird’s highest-resolution imaging covering both below and to the sides of the motor the most complete sonar coverage available in any trolling motor. Both require a compatible Humminbird fish finder.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “dual 24V/36V” mean?

Terrova QUEST runs on either 24V (two batteries) or 36V (three batteries) without rewiring. On 24V, you get 90 lb of thrust and longer runtime. On 36V, you get 115 lb of thrust and maximum power. Switch between them by simply adding or removing a battery from the series.

Do all Terrova QUEST models include a foot pedal?

Yes. Every Terrova QUEST ships with the Advanced GPS Navigation Wireless Remote AND a Corded Foot Pedal in the box. Dual control out of the gate.

Is the QUEST foot pedal the same as standard Terrova?

No. The QUEST foot pedal is SKU 1866078 it is QUEST-specific. The standard Terrova pedal is SKU 1866077. They are not interchangeable. Make sure you order the correct replacement if needed.

Can I swap a standard Terrova for a QUEST without redrilling?

Yes. QUEST uses the same mounting hole pattern as all brushed Terrovas and other Minn Kota electric-steer bow mounts. Direct swap no new holes needed.

What is the difference between MEGA Down Imaging (standard Terrova) and MEGA Down/Side Imaging (QUEST)?

Standard Terrova MDI models have MEGA Down Imaging only they see directly below the motor. QUEST MEGA models have MEGA Down AND Side Imaging they see below AND to the left and right. QUEST gives you significantly more sonar coverage per pass.

What size Terrova QUEST do I need?

On 24V (90 lb thrust): boats up to roughly 4,500 lb total loaded weight. On 36V (115 lb thrust): boats up to roughly 10,000 lb and 25′ length. The 45″ shaft fits most bass boats. The 60″ shaft fits larger center consoles and deep-V hulls. The 72″ shaft is for pontoons, large center consoles, and high-bow boats. When in doubt, size up on shaft length too short is a bigger problem than too long.
