A smelt-specific reel with a counter that accurately targets the changing smelt shelf. Shallow spool that does not require underwinding. No need to reel in thread as it comes with approximately 50m of Japanese-made nylon line No. 1.
Counter that can measure in 10cm increments. Equipped with a free/stop switching lever. Also comes standard with a “shelf stop hook” that allows you to lower your tackle directly to the desired shelf. A small smelt-specific reel that can be used in any situation, from fishing on ice to dome boats.
